実家から「新しく買ったパソコンが動かない」とのお助け要請。
Windowsのセットアップが終わってOutlookを起動しようとすると「エラーが発生しました OwaInvalidUserLanguageException」と表示されて起動しないらしい。
表示されているエラーメッセージでググった所、以下の手順で直りました。
- PCの日付と時刻が正しいかを確認
- Outlookアカウント（マイクロソフトアカウント）でログインしていることを確認
- EdgeやChromeのWebブラウザで outlook.comへ接続してメールを開く
- そのメール画面を開いたまま、起動しなかったOutlookアプリを起動する
この方法で無事にOutlookアプリでメールを開くことに成功したので備忘録。

I had the same problem when I went to open the calendar on my Windows 11 laptop and was forced to create an Outlook account (I chose not to link to my other email…).
What worked for me was logging into Outlook in a web browser (Chrome in my case). While I was logged in, I launched Outlook from my desktop and it opened. I shut both down and retried and it still working, so it may have cleared the error.
